I finally got myself going and started my first ever online Etsy shop! I am so excited about it and I hope you’ll go check it out. Look frequently for updates also because I am on a creative roll and will be adding more and more stuff as fast as my hands can make it!

Here are a few of the items I have listed currently:

I turned 28 (pause and turn to husband, “How old am I?” ” 28.”  ”OK, I just forgot for a second.”) on Monday. I’m both indifferent to that number and extremely embarrassed by it. Indifferent because I kind of stopped making a mental note of the actual number of years I have been on this earth a while back. I just honestly feel that there is more interesting information to memorize than that. Plus, since I had a baby my brain has been so full that I hardly have space to fit that number up there.   Embarrassed because everyone 28 is so close to 30 and 30 is when you are supposed to have it “all figured out.” Yikes!  But this letter is not about that 28, its about all the amazing things that happened to me on my birthday. First of all my 2 year old daughter greeted me with one long hug and lots of “I love you mommy!” This behavior is very strange coming from her, not to mention she had no idea it was my birthday, so this was a very special birthday gift! Priceless.

Then my husband took me to bongo java to get my favorite breakfast…iced coffee and a bachelor bomb! Its a bagel fully topped with peanut butter, bananas and cinnamon and this particular bachelor bomb was the most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time. Somehow this girl telepathically knew it was my birthday because she made that bomb like it was her last!

Finally, my cute and adorable husband bought me this fancy camera and we did a little photo shoot and then went to get my favorite appetizer at Eastland Cafe…Goat cheese brulee! Oh yeah, and my mom made me this beautiful work of art, a combo of nature and nostalgia. It was a brilliant birthday!
